The Orcas Lions will hold a luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. at the Orcas Senior Center. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.

The Lions have Orcas School District Superintendent Eric Webb will give a synopsis regarding the school’s levy at 12:25 p.m. and Gary Franklin from the Friday Harbor Lions Club will be speaking about an application his group is developing to eradicate Amblyopia (the medical term used when the vision in one of the eyes is reduced because the eye and the brain are not working together properly. The eye itself looks normal, but it is not being used normally because the brain is favoring the other eye. This condition is also sometimes called lazy eye.) with the use of a cell phone at 12:40.
