We are excited to share with you the news that the Funhouse board of directors has decided to name us, Emilie Gincig and Jen Vollmer, as interim directors during the search for our new executive director!

As many of you know, we have both worked for the Funhouse in various roles over the years. Most recently Emilie as the Program Director and Jen, working very closely with Krista Bouchey, managing community engagement and proposal/report writing. While we are all sad to see Krista move on, we also feel confident that our organizational knowledge of the Funhouse, professional skill sets, and strong working relationships with the Funhouse board, staff, supporters and island families, will ensure a smooth transition period.

During the facility remodel, we are working in a temporary office at the Our House building located across from the Orcas Food Co-op (on North Beach Road). To find us, enter through the main entrance located between Orcas Island Realty and the consignment store. Turn right at the first doorway, and proceed down the short hall. We’re in the middle office space. If you’ve gone down the ramp towards Mia’s restaurant, you’ve gone too far.
