Anthony Manuel’s Island Inspiration All Stars are back in full force at Orcas Center on Saturday, May 3, performing 14 new dances.

The Island Inspiration All Stars are comprised of 30 dancers from San Juan, Lopez and Orcas Islands, many of whom have been studying with Anthony Manuel for several years. Manuel says of this group of dancers, “these are the best of hearts. They just love to dance and that’s what keeps my concerts in their purist form – love.”

Manuel, who has worked professionally as a dancer and choreographer for stage and screen, says that Orcas Island has been a real drawing power for him. “After working in the professional field for so long, it’s nice to be reminded everyday what it was like when it was just fun.”

The All Stars will certainly demonstrate fun and their love of dance, in an evening length performance featuring group numbers and duets. Charles Dalton and Kimmie Clancy are performing a duet titled “Roots” which in context is part of a larger dance Manuel is creating.

The show will have two performances on Saturday, May 3, at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. All tickets are $10 and may be purchased at www.orcascenter.org or by calling 360/376-2281.
