Granny’s Attic, exercise classes and more at senior center

This year’s Granny’s Attic Sale at the Orcas Senior Center is on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. is just around the corner. Come explore awesome collectibles, from vintage roller-skates to antique furniture, beautiful linens, and other fabulous and eclectic finds lining the walls of our center. Visit the “better” room for the rare and unique finds you have been looking for! Join us for this annual community event and fundraiser.

Come exercise with us! Take part in activities at the Orcas Senior Center that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The Senior Center has an amazing team of local and experienced instructors who have created classes tailored to a variety of physical abilities. We are excited to announce that Tai Chi will be starting up again this month as well as we have a new Joy of Movement (Zumba Gold) class on Tuesdays. Interested in a class? – Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-11am: Transformational Movement Lessons with Christopher Evans

– Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am-12pm: Chair Yoga Classes with Suzie Frank, Winne Adams, or Sara Daily-Smith (depending on the time of year!)

– Tuesdays 1pm-2pm: The Joy of Movement (Zumba Gold) classes with Vibha Golem

– Tuesdays 6pm-7pm: Tai Chi with Robin Kucklick

We also have a 24 week series of Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® (TJQMBB) classes instructed by Scott Heisinger, PT, DPT, a physical therapist at Orcas Island Physical Therapy.
