Gailey to discuss new book at Darvill’s

On Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m., Darvill’s Bookstore will host a free intimate conversation with local author Samuel W. Gailey to celebrate the release of his second novel “The Guilt We Carry.”

The conversation will be moderated by author Ayn Gailey and cover the writing and publishing journey as well as the themes of addiction, fate, and redemption.

Publishers Weekly describes the book as “A gripping tale of redemption…” and New York Journal of Books calls it “…the ‘Breaking Bad’ of the book world.”

Contact Darvill’s to pre-order or reserve a signed copy of “The Guilt We Carry” and mention the word “Guilt” to receive $3 off the list price. Refreshments will be served.

Gailey is the author of “Deep Winter” a novel described by The New York Times as “beautifully written.” Drawn to rural life and the sometimes deceiving atmosphere therein, Gailey’s first novels and his works in progress are suspenseful mysteries and intriguing studies of human nature. He is a founding board member of the Orcas Island Literary Festival and co-founder of Novel Lab, a free weekly writing workshop for island kids.
