This year’s topic will examine international trade, innovation and security as they relate to the San Juan County economy.

The speakers will include: Laurie Trautman, who holds a Ph.D. in geography and a master’s in earth sciences, is a noted border policy expert and director of the Border Research Institute at Western Washington University; Brian Young, director of economic development for the clean technology sector at the Washington State Department of Commerce; and Julia Terlinchamp, director of economic development for the life science/global health sector at the Department of Commerce.
