Drought tolerant landscapes for the Pacific Northwest

The Orcas Island Garden Club welcomes Everett Chu, owner of Azusa Farm and Gardens on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Orcas Center.

Chu will discuss the advantages of a sustainable, aesthetically pleasing drought-tolerant landscape. He will explain how to design, plant and maintain a garden that is ecologically sound, cost-effective and supports biodiversity.

Chu is a Skagit County Master Gardener who is also a skilled nurseryman, garden coach/landscape designer, and community advocate in Mount Vernon. He received his education at the University of Washington and City College of Seattle. The Orcas Island Garden Club welcomes new members and encourages you to enjoy this month’s presentation, stop by our membership table, and become a member of the garden club.
