The American Legion will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo dinner on Sunday, May 5, starting at 5:30 p.m. The menu includes authentic carnitas and enchiladas, beans and rice, and chips and salsa. The cost is $15 for adults; seniors and children will receive a $3 discount. This is the American Legion’s second-quarter membership drive. It will be open to the public and benefits all three of the units: Post, Auxiliary and Sons. The Auxiliary will be selling raffle tickets for a quilt donated by Betty Hall in honor of the American Legion’s 100-year anniversary.
