The Cancer Survivorship Group meets on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m. in the Fireside Room of Orcas Island Community Church. It is a free, confidential support group for anyone touched by cancer.

If cancer has touched you personally, in any other capacity, they are there for you.

According to organizers, “Discovering how others manage the special problems that cancer brings might help you find ways to cope with the problems that come along for you. Sharing with others can increase positive feelings. Some of these are hope and optimism, freedom from regret, satisfaction with life and a sense of inner peace.”
