It seems like our bureaucratic government is just intent on spending money to destroy the beauty of our island. I couldn’t believe the visual destruction that seemed to come from nowhere when this semi-freeway was started last year. Was it to slow down traffic, which that troublesome curve did nicely? Years ago they tried desperately to do the same thing in Coon Hollow. Mindy Kayl’s letter in the June 6 issue is a stark reminder for our bureaucrats to consider such things before they wreak havoc and destruction to our forested landscape.
