On behalf of Orcas Rotary, a branch of the San Juan Island Rotary Club, I would like to thank the outstanding staff at the Fire and Rescue Station in Eastsound for sharing their wonderful facility with the public and supporting our activities.

In particular, we appreciate Scott Williams, fire chief; Jim Shuh, director of administrative services and eastside division captain; Mary Tanner, administrative assistant, finance/purchasing; and RJ Myers, fire marshal.

These individuals have given a warm welcome to our young service club for the past year and a half, sharing not only their facility but also their media expertise and support. Our community is fortunate to have such people in our service!
