Many thanks to the generous supporters of our first Orcas Cyclovia on Saturday, Sept. 28, including Orcasong Farm; Boathouse Ciderworks; Orcas Veterinary Services; and Wildlife Cycles.

Volunteers contributed over 60 hours on Saturday during the event: Steve Bernheim, Dan Christopherson, Brian Ehrmantraut, Arthur de Haan, Chao de Haan, Jay de Haan, Mindy Kayl, Hyo Rhi Kim, Vicki Leimback, Bill Madill, Rick Rhodes, Ellen Winter and Alex Wolf. Thanks to Deputy Harvey for assisting with traffic safety.

It was a beautiful day for 50-60 cyclists, runners, and walkers including children and dogs, turning out to celebrate car-free movement! Thanks also to the participants who donated over $700 plus in-kind donations as a fundraiser for our local animal non-profits, Orcas Animal Protection Services, Island Haven and Wolf Hollow. We are grateful for your support of Orcas Cyclovia!
