Ruth and I were in the audience at Orcas Center last Saturday for the concert of Bach, Rolf’s favorite composer, and Vivaldi. The performance of the music was exquisite and one for ages on our island. The choir, soloists and accompanying orchestra sounded wonderful, appropriate for Bach’s Mass in F, and full of joy with Vivaldi’s Gloria.

Marianne Lewis, you did absolutely outstanding work directing musicians and voices. This performance of the Orcas Choral Society was missed by those who did not attend who will never know what they really missed and what jewels we have in the treasure chest of classical music performance on Orcas Island.
