On Friday, Feb. 20, the San Juan County Republican Party is celebrating the 200th Birthday of Abraham Lincoln. The evening includes guest speakers and a special dinner at the Orcas American Legion Hall starting at 6 p.m.

The featured speaker is Freddie Simpson, Washington’s National Committee Woman, who has just returned from electing Michael Steele as the chairman of the Republican National Committee. John Evans will also speak about the Critical Areas Ordinance.

The meal includes Nick Johnson’s special chili, cornbread, and dessert.

Call Cindy Carter at 376-2187 to reserve a place at the dinner, which is by donation.
