ORCAS ISLAND

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 20

Brown Bag Concert at Emmanuel Episcopal Church from 12 - 12:30 p.m. These half-hour concerts are held every Wednesday during July and August. Concerts are free but donations are accepted. This Wednesday’s concert will feature the Classical trio - piano, cello and clarinet.

THURSDAY, Aug. 21

Preschool storytime at the Orcas Island Public Library, 10 to 10:30 a.m. Info: 376-4985

Kaleidoscope Music Lovers’ Seminar 10 a.m. to noon at St. Francis Catholic Church. Continues on Friday. For tickets call 376-6636.

Open Mic Pizza Night at Doe Bay Resort. A weekly benefit for a different nonprofit organization each month - Orcas Island Recreation Program in May. 6 to 10 p.m., with open mic starting between 7 to 8.

SATURDAY, Aug. 23

Orcas Public Library’s Saturday storytimes will be held from 11:30 am to noon on the Village Green.

MONDAY, Aug. 25

Duplicate bridge every Monday at 7 p.m. at the Longhouse in Eastsound 376-2797 or 376-8278.

“Chants Encounter” concert and mini workshop will be on from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. $15 suggested donation.

THURSDAY, Aug. 21

“The Heart of ‘A Course in Miracles’” workshop from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. $15 suggested donation.

FRIDAY, Aug. 22

KLOI First Live Radio Broadcast with local musicians and DJs at 7:30 p.m. at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts.

SATURDAY, August 23

The Rock Rocks Blues Festival at 12:30 p.m. at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts.

The Three Generations Bluegrass Concert at 7:00 p.m. at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts.

Farmers Market located next to the Lopez Community Center from 10 to 2 p.m.
