January 22, 2013 · Updated 12:06 PM

On Sunday, Jan. 27, Emmanuel Episcopal Church welcomes 2 Room School. Drawing from a wide-ranging repertoire, the talented group of young musicians from Shaw Island will play tunes ranging from Cole Porter to Cat Stevens.

Adriena Clifton is 14 years old and began playing guitar when she was five years old, and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Kendra Clifton is 13 years old, she has been playing mandolin for two years, and violin for four years. She also plays ukulele and guitar, as well as playing classical violin with Island Sinfonia. Leah Black is 11 years old, in the past few years she has picked up many instruments; ukulele, banjolele, tenor banjo, five-string banjo, guitar, and percussion. Per Black is 13 years old and first started playing bass on one, now retired, bass named Betsy. He also plays guitar and ukulele.

The music begins at 1 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Parish Hall and will be followed by refreshments. Admission is by donation and proceeds will go toward funding their next CD.
