Mixed media art show at Orcas Center: reception opens Oct. 7

This Friday, Oct. 7, Orcas Center presents an Alternative Group Art Show Opening, complete with catering from Eastsound’s The Kitchen and live music from Kevin Dickey, who will be playing his crystal singing bowl.

More than two dozen artists have joined forces to bring the community a show full of mediums not normally shown together: gunpowder on glass and Venetian plaster, salvaged materials, photography, jewelry, doll making, metal, book and paper arts, screen printing, mixed media, and more.

The collective group of artists is: Emily Aring, Jasmine Banducci, Ali Boe, Osa Caudill, Andrea Cohen, Khadoma Colomby, Satya Curcio, David Densmore, Kevin Dickey, Dwight Duke, Erica Ekrem, Marguerite Greening, Jorgen Harle, Erika Harlow, Kt Hendrie, Sadie Howard, Stephanie Iverson, Deborah Jones, Zackaraya Leck, Jeff Ludwig (aka Uncle Junk), Jennifer Posada, Sebastian Posada, Susan Slapin, Deborah Sparks, Winfred Taylor, Judy Tepley, and Kyler Townsend.

Come visit the Orcas Center throughout the rest of the month of October to view the collection of pieces.
