FoodMasters organization will host a contra dance at the Odd Fellows' Hall on Oct. 8 to raise funds for the Orcas Island Seed Bank.

The band “Hands Four” from San Juan Island will highlight the evening’s events, which include dancing, live cider pressing and a pie and ice cream sale.

A beginner's lesson will be taught from 7:30 to 8 p.m., then the dancing will commence until 11 p.m. The cover charge is $10.

A table at the event will offer information on the Seed Bank and FoodMasters. Donations of apples for the cider pressing are invited.
