Thursday, Jan. 14

The Orcas Island Park and Recreation District Commission will conduct a first regular public meeting at the Orcas Senior Services Center at noon. The agenda will include the nomination and election of office holders, a period for public comment, and a presentation by the county. Future regular public meetings will take place on the second Thursday of each month at times and places yet to be determined.

Port of Orcas regular meeting, 7 p.m. at the port offices.

The San Juan County Public Works Department is holding an Informational Open House from 4 to 6 p.m. in the firehall in Eastsound to present the Mount Baker Road and Spruce, Alder and Hemlock Streets projects.

Friday, Jan. 15

Planning Commission Meeting, 8:30 a.m., Council Chambers, Legislative Building, 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

County Council Member Bob Myhr will discuss county issues from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Lopez Library. Topics include Lopez Village Planning, CAO, county budget reductions, Odlin South reserve, and more.

Thursday, Jan. 21

The OPALCO Board of Directors will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at the Eastsound office at 8:30 a.m.
