Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce offers Business Essentials workshop

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the latest offering in its Business Essentials series of workshops and seminars.

“Internet Marketing for Small Business” will be presented by Lance Evans, Executive Director of the Orcas Chamber on Tuesday, May 5. Evans will explore the many ways businesses and organizations can market themselves for free on the internet. The workshop will cover such current topics as: Twitter, Facebook, blogs, website optimization and analytics, Google Adwords, and much more. Handouts will provide everyone with the information they need to improve their current marketing campaign. Attendees are encouraged to come loaded with questions for an informative Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

It will be held at the Eastsound Fire Station’s meeting room. Coffee and Tea service is at 7:45 a.m.; the Workshop runs from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. RSVPs are requested. Contact the Chamber at 376-2273 for sign-up information. A workshop donation for materials of $5 is requested from Chamber members; non-chamber members are invited to attend for only $15.
