Art displays abound around Eastsound
January 19, 2009 · Updated 8:17 PM
January exhibits around Eastsound give Orcas residents an opportunity to see what’s new from local artists.
At Washington Federal Bank the digital art of Bonita Beaston is on display. Sculptor Justin W. Taylor is the artist showcased at Key Bank.
Karen Key Speck’s appropriately named art show “Variety,” with works in oils, charcoal and pencil, is being exhibited at Islanders’ Bank until Jan. 29. Speck is also the editor of a free monthly Orcas Artists Newsletter, now in its second year. To be included in the newsletter, call Speck at 376-2204.
At Christina’s the work of Deborah Jones, which features Venetian plaster on masonite, is being featured until March. Local artists interested in hanging their work in the restaurant’s foyer and bar area should contact Maureen at 376-4904 for an appointment to show their portfolio.
