Community meals at Orcas Christian School to begin
January 5, 2009 · Updated 5:06 PM
Orcas Christian School is hosting community dinners on the second Tuesday of January, February, and March.
The dinners are free and all-you-can-eat. Organizers say it is a great way to take the family out for a delicious meal, enjoy the company of other islanders, meet new friends, and leave the cooking and clean up to someone else.
The first meal of 2009 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The menu will feature Chinese food, including egg drop soup, fried rice, egg fu yung, chow fun noodles, egg rolls, white rice, jasmine tea, and fortune cookies. Dinner will be served buffet style from 5 to 8 p.m. The gymnasium will be open from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with supervised games for children.
