December 15, 2008 · Updated 8:44 PM
Orcas Island Elementary PTSA’S annual holiday skate was on Friday, Dec. 12. Kids came wearing antlers, holiday sweaters, and other festive clothing. The kids skated to holiday music and small prizes were awarded for creative outfits.
There are Friday night rollerskating events each week in the Old Gym; 6-7 p.m. is for younger (8 and under) and beginning/slow skaters and 7-9 p.m. is for everyone else. They are taking a short break over the holidays and will resume on Friday, Jan. 16. The cost is $2 per hour, skates included.
