Chamber of Commerce plans fun and games for annual meeting

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce invites members and their guests to attend the Annual Meeting and Mixer, at the Outlook Inn / New Leaf Café on Thursday, Oct. 30.

The annual event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a Social Hour featuring appetizers and discounted cash bar. At 6 p.m the Visitors Bureau will make a presentation, followed by Chamber and member updates.

For the third year running “Orcas Deal or No Deal!” will offer hundreds of dollars in cash for the player who can guess where the big dollars are hidden. Chamber President Ken Speck rivals Hollywood’s Howie Mandel in overseeing this spirited game.

The Chamber asks for a $5 minimum contribution to offset room costs.

Over $1300 in door prizes have been donated. for the event. Please call or email the Chamber to RSVP your attendance at the Annual Meeting, or to donate door prizes.

The New Leaf Café offers a Special Chamber Member Dinner following the meeting – a four course meal for $49 plus tax per person. There will be a single seating at 7:30 pm (reservations are required). Call the Outlook Inn at 376-2200 for reservations your dinner spot.

New Leaf Cafe will also offer its regular menu on this evening.
