October 7, 2008 · Updated 10:37 AM
The first potluck dinner of the fall season will be on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Olga Community Center. The evening starts with a social time for members of the community and their guests to catch up on the past summer’s activities at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Organizer Barbara Wheeler says, “Everyone is welcome. You do not have to live in Olga to join us for a pleasant evening. Please bring your favorite food to share from hors d’oeuvres to pastas, casseroles, salads or desserts.
“We always have wonderful fare and big appetites. Please bring your own dishes and cutlery.”
Olga resident, Carl Burger of Spring Bay Inn, will lead the singing starting at 7 p.m. He will be playing on the guitar and banjo. Attendees are invited to bring instruments to accompany Burger.
Those interested in providing entertainment during the evening through music or dance should call Wheeler at 376-3224.
