September 17, 2008 · Updated 4:26 PM
A Harvest Dance as celebration of community, season and spirit will be held on Friday, Oct. 3 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Oddfellows Hall to benefit the Orcas Island Food Bank.
Organizers invite everyone to get the family together and put their dancing shoes on to enjoy contra dancing, square dancing and waltzes with live musicians from Lopez Island. Organizer Nichole Proffitt says, “We all need to get together and have some fun, because dancing is good for the soul and because the money goes to a good cause.”
Refreshments will be fresh pressed cider and homemade pie.
