One-day boating safety course

December 3, 2012 · Updated 5:13 PM

A boating safety will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 15 by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

In 2013, every Washington state resident who operates a boat that has a motor of 15 horsepower or greater must have a boater education card.

This one-day class will meet the requirements to apply to Washington State Parks for issuance of the card. The class is in the Orcas Landing conference room from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $25 per person.
