EDC presents free “Sticky Marketing” workshop

The San Juan County Economic Development Council will present a free workshop on Nov. 16 called “Making it Stick: Crafting a Message They’ll Remember,” taught by writer and English teacher Ian Byington. The workshop will be held from 9‐11 a.m. at Skagit Valley College’s Friday Harbor campus downstairs community room.

Organizer Victoria Compton said the class will teach business owners how to create “cohesive, compelling” marketing messages that clients will remember and respond to.

The class is part of a Fall Business Education series designed by the EDC to support local business owners and funded in part by the San Juan County government.

The Economic Development Council (EDC)’s stated goal is to “strengthen and diversify the economy of San Juan County,” working to improve the local business environment by linking organizations and resources and providing information.

The campus is located at 221 Weber Way, Friday Harbor. To register, call 378‐2906 or email info@sanjuansedc.org.
